    St. Louis Chess Club teaches kids how to play chess. This course will require attendance for 8-weeks, September 16th thru November 4th. Students will learn the foundational rules and strategic elements of a chess game. Topics will include board setup, piece movement and captures, check and checkmate, opening ideas, and basic tactics. After taking this course the students will have all the knowledge they need to play and enjoy a legal game of chess and to continue on a lifetime journey of learning and discovery in this incredible game.
